Greetings Happy Time Squares Members-
Love was in the air as 54 HTS Members and 40 guests do-si-doed with their Valentines while Vic belted out a great selection of love songs. Vernon & Toni and Judy & Gene entertained us with some great selections for their rounds and lines. We were also fortunate to dance to a wonderful variety of callers throughout the evening as Larry Crady, Virginia Yerta, Diana Wagner and Wade Morrow all took the stage. There were many smiles, lots of laughing, and swirling red skirts as we kicked up our heels.
Our guests included dancers from Bluestem Swingers, Camping Squares, Cap-Teen Squares, Friendship Rounds, Frontier Twirlers, Silver Dollars, Swingin' Singles, Swinging Squares and Wheatheart Squares as well as a few other non-dancing guests. Both Swingin' Singles and Swinging Squares marched to retrieve their banners. Many of our guests commented that they always have a good time at our dances. Thank you members for making them feel so welcome!
Throughout the evening dancers also enjoyed a bit of shopping at our experienced clothing sale. Thank you to all of those who worked so hard to assist in setting up the sale as well those who donated as well as and purchased items. These sales are always a lot of fun and benefit both the dancers and the club.
We would once again like to thank Nancy Wickersheim and her team for their hard work in set-up/clean-up and decorating the hall in such a festive manner. They also did a wonderful job keeping the food table, which was filled with many delectable treats, in great shape. Between the innovative Teams idea of Betty Alexander and her hard work in getting them started, and all the behind-the-scenes work in fine-tuning a task list and creating a dance hall diagram by Nancy & Dave Wickersheim, we think the Teams idea has been shown to be a huge success!
