Howdy Happy Time Squares Members:

Report for  Western Roundup Dance  - September 8, 2012

Boots and saddles, western hats, and lots of western decorations turned the Prairie Park Elementary School into a great western setting for our Saturday night dance.  Many dancers came in their boots and western attire, sporting cowboy hats including our own caller Vic Perry who wore a cowboy hat given to him by his father.  Hats off to the decorating committee for the western atmosphere:  Vernon Nelson, Rosalee Rainbolt, Stan Zaremba, and Judy & Gene Broers.

Lloyd & Connie Northrop, and Jim & Edie Boehle greeted guest as they arrived and thanked them as they departed.  Thanks for making people feel welcome.  We were pleased to have a couple who were traveling from Germany, Klaus-Peter and Gudrun Wermeyer join us in celebrating our dance.  Klaus-Peter is president for his square dance club in Germany called Market-Squeezers.  As they left our dance they expressed what a great time they had.

Lois Zaremba and Rosalee Rainbolt kept busy arranging the refreshment table and helping with clean up.  Also, thanks to C. J. & Pat Baker who kept drinks filled and ready throughout our dance.

We had 11 visiting clubs, 29 guest, and 52 HTS members in attendance for a total of 81 dancers.  Dancers enjoyed dancing to all western songs from our great caller Vic Perry.  Among our guests were Larry & Wanda Crady and McKenna, and Larry treated us to fun guest tip.  Vernon and Judy did an excellent job with rounds and lines.

We also appreciate Bob Rainbolt, Mike & Jeanne Bronoski, and Carl & MaryKay Bahnmaier who came early to help set up and stayed after the dance to help put things away and clean up.  We know our dances are great and could not do this without all of our members who are willing to help.  What wonderful food represented the food table brought by all our members, we give you many thanks for taking time to bring each and every dish.  Finally we thank everyone who came out to dance, you are what make the dances fun!!  Keep smiling and keep dancing!!

Our next dance will be Saturday October 13, at our regular dance location, United Methodist Church, West Campus for our "Feed the Hungry" food donation dance.  See you all there!!

Lost and Found:  Someone left a purple boot bag with black boots and a pair of black dance shoes inside the boot bag.

Check out our website   Photo Album   for great pictures of our dance.
