Travel Dance Report -- Riverbend Promenaders

March 7, 2010

Last night, 40 Happy Time Squares, about half in their 50s outfits, traveled to Atchison to the Riverbend Promenaders and stole their banner.   We danced to Chris Wildhagen.   What a treat!   He's a lively caller with a great impersonation of Al Jolson.   Wade Morrow and Chris called a tip together.   Mary K came in second in the bubble gum blowing contest.   Sherry Brun, I'm sure, would have won the best 50s outfit if there had been a contest.   She looked great in her poodle skirt and rhinestone cat glasses.   Barbara Neff left a trail of poodle fur wherever she danced.   All in all, it was a great time!

If you missed the dance and want to check out Chris Wildhagen, we have a Fun Dance to Top-Kan Twirlers on March 27, where he will be a guest caller.   Chris will be doing his Hat Dance (he puts on a different hat each tip and impersonates that person).

Then, on April 30, Chris, Larry Liebig and our very own crooner, Vic Perry, will be calling a dance together.   More details on that fun dance as time gets closer.

A special thanks to everyone who made our travel a great success.
