Fellow Members of Happy Time Squares,

On Saturday, March 13, 2010, 114 dancers attended our Follow The Irish Rainbow dance party.   Twenty-eight guests from eight clubs joined 86 HTS members for a fun evening.   Eleven squares were on the floor for our first Mainstream tip. Between tips, either Judy cued a line or Vernon a round.   We had several HTS, as well as visiting, new dancers on the floor throughout the evening.

The hall (Church) carried an Irish theme, expertly decorated by Edie Boehle and Ruth Mitchel.   Greeters Lloyd & Connie Northrop, Vera Cole, and Stan & Lois Zaremba welcomed all dancers as they arrived, and again as they departed.   The refreshment tables and drinks were presented and maintained by Mike & Vicki Hegeman, Ken & Mary Ertl, and Tom & Georgia Sirridge.   Setup and Cleanup coordinators Jim Boehle and CJ Baker readied the hall for dancing and then back for Church services after the dance.

Guest rounds cuer Stash Tosio favored us with a waltz and new caller, Sam Hunsaker, called a patter-and-singing tip.

Clubs attending included:   Diamond Rounds, Frontier Twirlers, Ottawa Promenaders, Shawnee Swingers, Silver Dollars, Swingin' Singles, TNT, Texas (former members Charlie & Sandra Cain visited us from their new home down south and represented Texas).

Most attire carried a bit of green, whether some article of clothing, Loren Cantrell's bow tie, or one of many green hats, all adding to the revelry.

During announcements, and in line with the Irish theme, our Pot of Gold consisted of three drawings of gold dollars.

Barbara & Dave Neff distributed the newly completed 2010 Member Directory.   It is even better than last year.   If you have not ordered your new directory, give Barbara a call.   She has a limited number still available.   The Neffs worked many hours to give us this wonderful book which is really fantastic.   Thank you!
