Fellow members of Happy Time Squares,

We Share our Blessings - HTS Dance Report

On Saturday, November 14, 85 members and 25 guests met to share our blessings and have a great dance!   We thank everyone who brought donations for the ECKAN/Just Foods food pantries.   Your generosity is appreciated!   Thank you to Ace & Lareeda Hickey, who will deliver the items to the food pantry.

Everyone who brought a donation received an opportunity to win a turkey donated by Dave and Nancy Wickersheim.   When Robert Mugridge was the winner, he donated the turkey to the food pantry!

As always, our decorations were wonderful.   The committee of Dave and Nancy Wickersheim and Mary K Bahnmaier, assisted by Lynn and Sherry Brun, cleverly incorporated the donations into the decorations, displaying them in baskets at the front of the stage.   Turkeys and fall decorations graced our tables.

Joy & Ralph Basel and Ernie & Jan Dyer greeted our guests as they arrived and thanked guests as they left.   Everyone felt welcome!

Gary & Maria Sanden and Elois Allan helped Larry and Alice DeMoss with the refreshment table and beverages.   They kept everything stocked and we all went home with clean dishes!

We welcomed guests from the Salina Twirlers, Ottawa Promenaders, Kuntry Kuzzins, Swingin’ Singles, TNT, Frontier Twirlers, Shoal Creek Critters and Jacks and Queens!   The Promenaders retrieved their banner.   Thanks to all of our guest for adding to the evening’s fun!

Vic Perry started off the Mainstream part of our dance with a Grand March that resulted in 10 squares!   He called his usual great dance.   Guest callers added to the fun and included our own Wade Morrow, Greg Edison and Sue Dellere.   Vernon Nelson, recuperating from knee surgery on Thursday, showed up on crutches and led us in several round dances.   Judy Broers cued several lively line dances.   It was a fun evening of dancing for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who brought delicious refreshments.   A special thanks to everyone who helped set up and stayed afterward to clean up!

As always, we thank EVERYONE who came to dance!   You are the reason our dances are successful.
