  Pre-Halloween Travel Dance - What a Treat!  

Twenty-five members of Happy Time Squares joined the Strato Jets for their "Spooks and Goblins" Dance on Friday night.   What fun!   We all thoroughly enjoyed Chris Wildhagen as he called a really fun dance.   For singing calls, Chris donned the hat and persona of a famous person, and called a dance to, on of that person’s hit songs.   His twelve characters included Elmer Fudd, Archie & Edith Bunker, Jimmy Durante and Al Jolson.   Wally Kelly cued rounds, with Lalla Steenbock adding two dances.

There were some great, imaginative costumes, and the parade of costumed people was fun.   We also enjoyed doughnuts and apple cider.

Happy Time Squares was represented by Frank & Betty Alexander, Jim & Edie Boehle, Carole Bogner, Lynn & Sherry Brun, Larry & Alice DeMoss, Ken & Mary Ertl, Ace & Lareeda Hickey, Rowena Horr, Charlie Lange, Ruth Mitchel, Robert Mugridge, Dave & Barbara Neff, Keith & Carol Noe, Tom & Georgia Sirridge, and Dave & Nancy Wickersheim.   A good time was had by all!

  Ottawa Promenaders’ Pig Roast - Saturday, November 7

The Ottawa Promenaders will be holding their annual Pig Roast fundraiser on Saturday, November 7, at Celebration Hall in the Fairgrounds.   This building is located on West 17th Street, behind the Armory.   We know Vic Perry will call a great dance, and Judy Broers will cue for our line dancing fun.

The Promenaders will start serving dinner at 5:30 and dancing will start at 7:30 p.m.   You may purchase tickets at the door.

  Shawnee Swingin’ Singles Annual Thanksgiving Dinner - Tuesday, November 17

The Swingin’ Singles of Shawnee will hold their annual Thanksgiving Dinner & Dance Club Fundraiser.   A complete Thanksgiving dinner will be served.   Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m., with dancing at 7:30. Jay Krebs will be the caller.
