It was a fun weekend for dancing, and more is coming up!

Travel Dance to Osawatomie

Twenty-four members of Happy Time Squares traveled to Osawatomie on Friday.   Bill Roles was in top form and we had a most enjoyable evening of dancing with the Frontier Twirlers.   Pam Young cued rounds, substituting for Ray Lemons, who had a family emergency.   Our own Wade Morrow contributed a rousing tip and teamed with Bill for the last dance of the evening - a lively version of "Hello Mary Lou".   Attending for HTS were Frank & Betty Alexander, Lynn & Sherry Brun, Loren & Helen Cantrell, Jim & Betty Driver, Ace & Lareeda Hickey, Elsie Middleton, Ruth Mitchel, Lydia Morrow, Wade & Laura Morrow, Robert Mugridge, Dave & Barbara Neff, Lloyd & Connie Northrop, Jack & Jo Ann Price, and Bob & Rosalee Rainbolt.

Other fun dances!

Twenty-one members of Happy Time Squares enjoyed a homemade turkey dinner at the Swinging Squares in Topeka on Saturday night.   Following a delicious dinner, we danced to the calling of Larry Crady and Jay Krebs.   Wally Kelly and Lalla Steenbock cued rounds.

Twenty-one other members joined Vic Perry in Ottawa for an Autumn Leaves dance Saturday night.   Vernon Nelson cued rounds and lines during the evening.   It's always a lot of fun to dance with the Ottawa Promenaders.

Lessons Continue - Last Free Lesson

Our third session of lessons will be at Centenary United Methodist Church at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5.   This is our last free session and the last opportunity for new dancers to come and see if they like square dancing!   Lessons are a great way to brush up on skills and help new dancers learn to enjoy all the moves.   Come and bring a friend!

Harvest Moon Dance - Happy Time Squares - Saturday, October 10

Happy Time Squares will return to the West Campus of the United Methodist Church for our dance Saturday night.   Our theme is Harvest Moon.   Help us celebrate this beautiful season (Fall is our favorite season).   Plus dancing will begin at 7:30 p.m., with Mainstream dancing at 8:00 p.m.   Join Vic Perry, Vernon Nelson, and Judy Broers for a great evening of dancing.   We hope to see you there.
