Fellow members of Happy Time Squares,
Special Edition - Boots, Bows and Barbeque!
Boots, Bows and Barbeque - Saturday September 26!!
It’s almost time for our annual Big Event of the year. Boots, Bows and Barbeque offers a lot of fun and entertainment to go along with the best barbeque pork loin you can find. Plus, you will get homemade on the spot French fries. The meal will be prepared by Stan and Lois Zaremba, assisted by a seasoned crew. We’ll also have Cole slaw and relishes. Desserts made by Happy Time Squares’ wonderful cooks will round out your dining delight. Dinner is served from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, Building 21.
We have a lot of fun things planned for you and your guests. Judy Broers will lead line dancing starting at 6:00 p.m. Many of our guests (including the kids) enjoy this! Vernon will cue round dances for everyone’s enjoyment.
The Happy Time Stompers will provide a most entertaining clogging demonstration. That show starts at 6:45 p.m. Don’t miss it!
Vic Perry will invite members and guests to participate in an introduction to square dancing starting at 7:00 p.m. People of all ages also enjoy this fun activity.
Mainstream dancing will begin at 7:30 p.m.
This is more than just a fund-raiser. It’s an evening full of fun, food and fellowship for EVERYONE.
Do You Still Need Tickets?
Check with your family, friends and neighbors and remember that HTS members will need tickets for this event. It is an extra evening of dancing plus an outstanding meal for only $10. This is an evening that non-dancers enjoy and the meal is only $8.oo for adults and $3.00 for children 4 - 10 years old. You may buy tickets Monday night at lessons. If you cannot be there, please give us a call and we will get some to you.
Want to help?
We still need two more people to help bus tables from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. This involves helping people carry food, clearing tables after people have finished eating, and emptying trash as needed. If you can help with this, please let us know.
Thank you to all the members who have already signed up to help. We really appreciate it!
We also need more relish trays and pies (or desserts). If you can bring either of these, please let us know as soon as possible.
Colors!
We encourage members to wear their club colors to this event. People helping set up often wear their HTS polo shirts. These are great for helping and dancing!
